If you are just visiting Majorca for a holiday and are staying in any of the main tourist resorts then you will not have to walk very far to find, "food from home".
Mallorca has plenty of great places where you can enjoy a fantastic meal and sample local cuisine and due to the large number of German tourists visiting the island, it's also very easy to find great tasting food from Germany.
However; we fully understand that you may simply want to get stuck into something familiar like a good English breakfast (or Scottish or Irish equivalent) or even a Sunday Roast! - Don't worry, there are plenty of places; which cater for the British or Irish palate. You really can find everything that you may enjoy when you are back home and it's even possible to find a reasonable Indian or Chinese take-away.
If you live on the island, then going out to eat every day is probably just too expensive and many of your daily meals will be prepared at home.
It's very easy to find good quality local produce in the many supermarkets around the island but it's not so easy to find those few items that you only seem to be able to buy when back in the UK or Ireland.
