When it comes to finding tranquil and relaxing accommodation in a rural setting on the island of Mallorca, most people know that they should be looking for a Finca - and there are many to choose from! However there are very few (if any) that can equal Ca n'Ai in Sóller.
Ca n'Ai is a Finca (or Rural Hotel) with an unbelievable panorama of the mountains of the “Serra de Tramuntana”. Surrounded by orange and lemon trees and located on a very impressive and large plot of land, it is easy to imagine that you have stumbled into a film set for 'Jurassic Park' or 'The Land that Time Forgot'.
Owned by the Morell family since 1723, Ca n'Ai is steeped in history and as you walk through the old mansion, you are reminded of the fact that the building has been arround for hundreds of years by a variety of period features - and all of this just a few minutes drive away from Sóller and Port de Sóller!
Anyone with an interest for outdoor pursuits such as cycling, hill-walking & climbing will find that Ca n'Ai is the perfect base to return to after a strenuous day's activities. Within just a few minutes of returning to the Finca, the aches and pains will just slip away into an oasis of calm & tranquility.
With spacious, modern and comfortable accommodation and a restaurant visited by people from all over the island, Ca n'Ai is in my opinion, one of Europe's best kept secrets - until now of course!

The accommodation at Ca n'Ai is very spacious ranging from 45m2 to 55m2 and Junior Suites and Superior Suites all have private terraces with ample room to sunbathe, relax and take in the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.
Rooms have very comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, mini-bar, TV, Safe Deposit Box and Telephone and offer a level of comfort that far exceeds the 4 Star rating that Ca n'Ai has been awarded:

With a well-known and respected chef in Christian Rullan Mathy, tables located in the old mansion with scenic views of the mountains and a menu to die for, the restaurant at Ca n'Ai is the Jewel in the Crown!
In the same way that the Sóller train meanders around the old town and Port, the menu at Ca n'Ai meanders around the flavours associated with traditional Mediterranean cuisine; however this taste bud journey also takes you to places a long way from Spain! Some restaurants experiment with Fusion food and generally it doesn't work! Obviously they don't have a magician such as Christian casting his gastronomic spells in the kitchen!
Add a well stocked wine cellar, excellent service and a bill that isn't going to make you fall off your chair and in my opinion, this restaurant is worth driving to from anywhere on the island!
