Football in Mallorca
Football is a national obsession in Mallorca and Spain. Every Sunday during the winter season (sept-march) football games take place all over the island, even the smallest village will have a football team. Mallorca’s main football teams are based in Palma. Real Mallorca play at Estadi Lluis Sitjar, whilst Atletico Baleares play in Estadi Atletico. Real Mallorca play regularily against teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona.
