Golf in Mallorca
Mallorca has long been admired for its magnificent golf courses, this section will enable you to look at all the established courses on the island. Even if you are not a keen golfer there are over 20 golf courses here, all set in beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views, that’s enough to tempt anyone to take up this amazing sport.
Golf de Poniente
This course is ideal for the more professional golfer, it is very long with plenty of lakes and trees. There is a practice course, restaurant and pro shop.
Golf Santa Ponca 1
This course is 18km from Palma and is the longest course on the island. This is rated the PGA’s favourite course and holds many professional tournaments. There is a practice course, buggy hire, pro shop and a cafeteria.
Son Vida Golf
This is a very hilly course and in 1994 it hosted the Balearic open. It was the first official golf course in the Balearics. There is cart and buggy hire, pro shop and a restaurant.
Real Golf de Bendinat
This is an amazing golf course 7km from Palma. It is one of the easiest to play on the island with fantastic sea views, a golfers paradise. There is a pro shop, restaurant and bar.
Canyamel Golf
This course is over 70km from Palma, and offers a challenging course which settles by the sea in a beautiful valley. It has a practice course, buggy hire and a pro shop, bar and restaurant.
Capdepera Golf
This course has 6 artificial lakes and is surrounded by mountains, it has broad fairways and challenging greens- ideal for the experienced and a must for the uop and coming golfer. It has a practice course, cart hire, pro shop and a beautiful restaurant.
Golf Pollenca
This course is just outside Pollenca and is set in a valley over looked by beautiful hills, it is an ideal course for the less experienced golfer.It has a practice course, buggy hire, pro shop, bar , restaurant and even a swimming pool!
Pula Golf
This course is a must for all keen golfers, the greens are beautiful and the fairways as smooth as marbel, you will see many relics from old Mallorca around the course. It has a practice course, buggy hire, pro shop and a cafeteria.
Golf Sant Ponca II
You will be amazed at the views over the bay of Palma, if you are lucky enough to get on this course. It has been reserved for its shareholders.. a real shame as this is a fantastic course.
Marriott’s Son Antem Este
This course is very near Playa de Palma, it is a flat course and is probably the islands most accommodating courses. It has a bar, restaurant, pro shop and buggy hire.
Club Golf Son Servera
This is a beautiful course 65km from Palma, it is very near the caves of Drac. There is a practice course,bar , restaurant and buggy hire.
Golf Son Termens
This course is only 10km from Palma, the 18 holes are carved through a woodland with uneven fairways and tough greens. You will need all your golfing skill to keep the ball on the green. There is a bar, restaurant, and cart hire.
Club de Golf Vall d’Or
The views from this course are quite amazing, you can see for miles around and the view of the sea is fantastic, the golf is not as challenging and is a welcome change from the tougher courses. There is a practice course, bar, restaurant, pro shop and a swimming pool.
Golf de Andratx
This is one of the less challenging courses, ideal for that lazy round in the sunshine with magnificent sea views.
Son Muntaner Golf
This hotel is situated in the Hotel Son Vida complex, and ideal retreat for all golfers with a fantastic hotel attached. The course is fully equipped.
Marriott’s Son Antem Oeste
A very interesting golf course that will challenge even the best golfer, many individuals say this is the most unusual course on the island. There is a bar, restaurant, pro shop and buggy hire.
Golf Santa Ponca III
This course is only for registered members, it is set amongst woodland with a selection of lakes, and the fairways are very narrow.
Club Golf Alcanada
This course is in the bay of Alcudia and is surrounded by wild lands and views of the sea, when the sun is shinning this course is truly magnificent. It has a practice course, restaurant, bar and pro shop.
