Every year, thousands of people decide that it would be a good idea to jump on a plane, head for somwhere sunny and look for work. Often they don't have a plan or even the money to live past a few days and the return flight home, well that's not even been thought about! Once upon a time, they would get away with it too.
Nowadays, forget about it. Unemployment in the Balearics is very high and there are many locals (who speak English, German and the local languages) looking for work in the tourist areas so unless you have something special to offer, you will find it very difficult landing your dream holiday job.
That doesn't mean that there are no jobs however; and if you have the skills, personality, experience and can get by in Spanish, you stand a good chance of finding work if (and only if) you know where to look and when to look.
We are already well into the 2010 season so it's highly unlikely that you will find bar, restaurant or hotel work this year as any vacancies will already have been filled, but there are still some opportunities available if you know where to look.
Mallorca Live the Dream receives information about job vacancies on the island as and when they become available due to the fact that we are on the 1st page of Google for a number of jobs in Mallorca related searches.
We also have a number of advertising sales vacancies within our organisation that you may be interested in.
Our team speak on a daily basis to businesses on the island so if there's a job going, we know about it.
We do not publish available jobs on this website as we do not want our competitors finding out about job vacancies on the island, instead we send available jobs to candidates who have asked us to help them find work. This strategy stops our clients from being bombarded with sales calls from Recruitment Agencies from all over Europe, it also means that we can pre-qualify candidates with available positions.
if you are interested in work in Mallorca and would like us to help you find a job, then please complete the form on our Find a Job page and we will see if there is anything we can do to help.
If you are a business owner and you are looking for staff, then please complete the form on our Submit a Job page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you have a job to list in Mallorca then we will happily let candidates know about it and help you to fill the vacancy and currently, there is no charge for doing this. We do qualify the jobs offered to make sure that they are not just business opportunties, scams or MLM and we do ask you to provide your NIF or CIF number prior to publishing your job offer. Full or Part-Time contracted positions will always be given the priority; however we will look at other opportunites as well.
