Approximately 60 miles off the coast of Spain, Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, with some 310 miles of sparkling coastline. Because of its ideal climate and strategic location, the island has attracted a variety of outsiders over the years, enriching the island with Roman, Arab and European influences. Passengers sailing into port will get an amazing view of the dramatic Gothic cathedral La Seu, set just above the harbor, and the hilltop Bellver Castle. Most excursions visit both of these sites as well as the Spanish Pueblo and the island's famous white-sand beaches. In valleys all along the coast, little fishing villages sit tucked away, with narrow winding lanes leading past cozy stone cottages and old Moorish estates. Also enjoy the breathtaking view of the Tramuntana range soaring majestically into the sky and countryside tours highlighting Valledemosa's monastery of La Cartuja.
During the 2013 season, 7.7 million tourists are predicted to arrive at the Balearic Islands by cruise ship, an increase from 7.3 million during 2010 and this figure is expected to increase to 8 million in 2014. Just 10 years ago, only 2 million tourists chose to travel by cruise ship.
We wouldn't be where we are today, Britain's favourite cruiseline, if it wasn't for our team. Regardless of how impressive our ships are, if we didn't have the high levels of service that we do on board, our passengers wouldn't come back, but they do. You will find a passenger to staff ratio of 2:1 on board equalling an intuitive, but unobtrusive service at all times. From our British Officers to skilled galley staff, all are completely professional and nothing is ever too much trouble. We work tirelessly to attend to your needs before you even realise you have them. From arrival to departure, we have developed features that we hope help make your holiday as relaxing as possible. These include such things as a quicker check in process so that you're not kept waiting, to Balcony Dining so you can enjoy the ship's fine cuisine from the comfort of your own cabin. You may not even notice our other features. This is deliberate - they are not there to be seen, just enjoyed.
